About D’TaRelle Franklin Tullis

Since 1986 D’TaRelle Franklin Tullis has taught both adults and children many forms of fitness, from several dance disciplines, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, African and Modern dances to Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and general conditioning of the body.

In 1993 she formed Pitter Patter Feet, a mobile dance studio in New Jersey that’s designed to supplement and compliment the early childhood curriculum and use dance as a medium for learning. In 2009 after studying how the muscles in the body helps to develop the brain, she incorporated this information into her curriculum to develop smart, fit and happy children. These aspects are the focus of this website.

Proper nutrition, adequate rest and hydration are also very important components to overall fitness especially in children. They are all necessary components to their growth and development. In addition for growing and developing children social, mental and emotional development are essential in developing smart, fit and happy kids.

D’TaRelle has used her 35 years of experience in the health and fitness fields and combined it with her love of children, dance and education to help children be the best they can be and have fun doing it. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree in Actuarial Science and has more than 30 credit hours of study in the West Ed Program for Infant and Toddler Caregivers and numerous continuing education units in Early Childhood Education.

D’TaRelle is a Professional Impact of New Jersey approved consultant and trains teachers, parents and educators on a variety of topics in health, well being, music and movement for infants to school aged children and physical development. She has extensive training in the I Am Moving I Am Learning Program by Head Start Body Start and continues to develope and implement curriculums in schools incorporating, dance, physical development, nutrition and music and movement.
